Kuapa Kokoo

Kuapa Kokoo is the only farmers cooperative in Ghana’s cocoa sector. It has membership strength of over 45,000.

The cocoa sector in Ghana is very competitive with over 26 different companies buying cocoa from farmers. Kuapa Kokoo has seen a lot of improvement both in numbers and structure. We have been able to add a new subsidiary to the group- Divine Chocolate USA. We have also expanded our operations in Ghana to sixty (60) districts. There are very exciting times ahead as we recently kicked started the Kuapa Kokoo Internal Control Systems which will enable us to reach all our members in their various societies.

2010 is an election year. I wish all members who will be contesting for the various positions a good luck as my term comes to an end. I will entreat fellow farmers to remain committed to the values of the organisation so that we can achieve our vision of “becoming a leading, caring, efficient and most globally recognised cooperative in cocoa production and marketing”.
